TAWANG, Nov 09: Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi, in his inaugural address to second Sarkar Aapke dwar-cum-Jan sunwai camp for 2019-20 of Tawang district at Shobur upper primary school here on Saturday, lauded present GoAP’s initiative of SAD camps to offer services to the people at their door steps.
This is the 2nd after the first at interior Mago village last month, he said and exhorted villagers of Tsaikhar, Gomkang, Yusum, Shobur, Kangteng and other hamlets to educate their children to be good citizens as education holds key to changes.
An educated farmer can grow better agricultural crops; he said advocating need for skill development. He appreciated Tsaikhar-Yusum villagers for commercial cultivation of vegetables to sale in the market. He stressed on traditional agriculture as source of earning livelihood
He assured the villagers to provide solar fencing to protect their fields from wild animals, particularly boars found in large number in the area. He asked them to maintain peace and harmony rising above all differences for development to take roots before felicitating Shobur upper primary school classes I to VIII toppers.
Stressing on importance of education and benefits of SAD earlier, DC I/C Lobsang Tsering asked the villagers to avail maximum benefits. Recalling school’s dilapidated old building when he joined as circle officer but has concrete infrastructure with all modern facilities now, he said.
In all 32 GoAP departments registered beneficiaries of Chief Ministers Arogya Arunachal Yojana, old age & widow pension & Adhar card; offered HIV counseling, nicotine & sugar level checking, issued birth, marriage & ST/PRC certificates, driving license, ration card including its surrender, collected electricity bills, sold subsidized LED bulbs & plastic crates.
