AALO, Nov 14: The damaged 300-mm dia DI pipe from Ene River which feeds this headquarters town was restored by PH&WS department to solve acute water crisis for last few days.
PH&WS making all out effort with logistic support of PWD to restore water supply, which got disconnected during formation cutting of Nigmoi-Aalo road where the pipelines are laid. Massive landslide caused by loose soil led to the crisis.
NSS unit opens: North East Frontier Technical University chancellor Dileep K. Nair, after inaugurating NSS unit of the university, exhorted the students to treat it as co-curricular activity and take up social services in villages to gain experience. Vice chancellor Dr Tejum Padu, trustee Kuldeep Patil also enlightened the students on various NSS activities.
