AUS imparting value based education: Agarwal

 

  • 4th convocation saw grant of 1st 4 PhD degrees

NAMSAI, Dec 26: Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) located in serene natural environment far away from the hustle bustle of modernity aimed at imparting value based education with commitment to meet growing demands for educated manpower of this hilly state, said World Education Mission president (WEM) Dr. A.L. Agarwal.

While addressing the students, faculty members and local guests during 4th convocation ceremony of AUS here recently, he said that was why the WEM  facilitated establishment of the AUS and created the much desired  academic atmosphere with highly qualified faulty members.

He lauded dedication of ‘Team AUS’ that resulted in awarding first 4 Ph.D. degrees and planning to introduce highest academic degrees of D.Lit. and D.Sc. from 2020-21.In all 28 gold medalists; 487 doctoral, PG and UG students received their honours.

Chancellor Vishva Lochan, in his presidential address, highlighted about vast career prospects for passing out students in organised job market. The AUS has been immensely contributing to making the students, particularly belonging to the indigenous communities, better professionals by imparting quality education.

Namsai DC Bijoy Talukdar, who was chief guest, lauded AUS for academic development in the region steadily. The visitors while entering Namsai watch the majestic AUS building to get a positive impression, which is also changing the perception of people about the region. He thanked AUS for creating ample employment opportunities.

“It is remarkable as the AUS has created world class infrastructure in Namsai and committed to all round development of state’s student community,” Vice Chancellor Prof. O.P. Sharma said earlier and highlighted its achievements in past seven years and future goals.

The ceremony commenced with the academic procession by 35 dignitaries. Registrar Divyanshu Goel was also present in the event.
