ITANAGAR, Jan 28: The third sitting of two-day PAC of seventh Assembly, chaired Ninong Ering and attended by members Kaling Moyong and Nyato Rigia was conducted here recently.
State accountant general, secretary finance and planning also attended to assist while secretaries of departments the concerned also attended to tender oral evidence.
The PAC took up matters related to the department of district administration, land management, women & child development, agriculture, civil aviation, tax & excise, urban development, geology & mining, town planning, home, social justice and sport & youth affairs relating to audit report of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India and state’s appropriation accounts.
The PAC, after examination departments’ replies and oral evidence tendered, has considered and recommended dropping of audit paras and regularized grants of those departments. It advised the departments to maintain transparent and strict adherence to finance guidelines while executing any scheme/project and to complete on time.
