CM lauds BRO for securing frontier, opens bridges to Indo-China border

TAWANG, May 23: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday dedicated two bridges over Tawang Chhu River in Tawang district and Sukha Nallah in West Kameng district built by 117 RCC under 763 BRTF.

The 50m Tawang Chhu Bridge and 45m Sukha Bridge will allow faster movement of civilians and military towards the McMahon line that demarcates Indo-China border, Khandu said and lauded Border Roads Organization (BRO) for securing nation’s borders besides offering employment and business opportunities to locals through their investment in roads and bridges.

On fears being expressed by the locals on possibility of virus entering Arunachal via central paramilitary forces, army and BRO, here said these central organization forces have their own SOPs, which are being followed strictly as briefed to the state officials by them.

The CM later in the afternoon inaugurated a police station at Jang ADC headquarters where Tawang MLA Tsering Tashi was present. (CMO)
