PASIGHAT, May 24: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) volunteers and NDRF trained volunteers of East Siang district continuing their fight against COVID-19 pandemic, organized mass awareness poster and wall painting campaign here on Saturday.
The event maintaining physical distancing aimed at sensitizing the people to appreciate frontline warriors, health workers, police and volunteers for their dedication during this trying time. NYK volunteers also distributed 550 face masks to the needy.
NYK district coordinator Tapun Taki said that remaining indoors is part of standard operational procedures of COVID-19, but the warriors have been offering their valuable services at the risk of their own lives and families. NYK would always be ready to extend all possible help during such uncertainty, he added. (DIPRO)
