DC gives Rs 3,800 NDRF relief to 10 flood victims

ITANAGAR, Jun 01: Total 10 flood victims of Capital Complex were given Rs 3,800 per family as relief under National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) by deputy commissioner Komkar Dulom here on Monday.

Incessant rain during last few days had triggered massive flood that had affected many locations and affected 82 families but 10 were given relief in presence of DACO-cum – DDMO i/c Tem Kaya.

Dulom exhorted the people to not live in vulnerable locations as monsoon has approached, but to remain alert and avoid building houses in such locations.

Damage assessment, if any, would be conducted by the committee and forwarded to higher authorities, he said.

Referring to claim of one of the victims about loss of important documents during the flood, he asked them to apply and assured necessary help.
