TEZU, July 08: Exhorted all SHG members to boost their production for commercial level, Lohit DC Prince Dhawan advised them to ensure their product become reliable with good quality to attract buyers.
Addressing best performing SHGs of the district and distribute Rs one lakh loan certificate sanctioned by Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB) here on Wednesday, he advocated availing PM-Kishan Yojana and Kishan Credit Card (KCC) benefits. Free stalls are available at APMC Market here for willing SHGs to sell their produce there, he said, adding the SHGs should share their success stories with the larger audience for multiplying effects.
Suggesting the SHGs to form traditional handicraft cluster and primary level federation and city level federation, Dhawan said that those engaged in agri/horti sector should collaborate with farmer producer organizations (FPOs) for their produce to reach larger markets. He further directed DAO, APRB branch manager and Arunachal State Livelihood Mission (ArSLM) block mission management (BMM) to give 100% benefits to all SHGs under the above schemes.
The event, organized by ArSLM & BMM unit,in collaboration with Tezu APRB branch, saw best performing SHGs, namely Tamlaya SHG, Nimkay SHG and Baya-Meyaa SHG, receiving certificates for excellent performance and loan certificate to nine others.
The SHGs had signed MoU with the ArSLM a year ago and currently 76 SHGs have opened accounts now for which the loan has been sanctioned, APRB BM said while ArSLM in-charge said that all instruction were given by the DC and asked them to work hard to become self reliant and successful. The DAO encouraged them to be more active.
Few successful SHGs highlighted their experiences as to how their activities gave thrust to socio-economic development of respective villages, which helped during ongoing lockdown period. Many have used the loan sin productive manner to achieve success. (DIPRO)
