One more dies of Covid-19 in Arunachal, death toll climbs to 31  

ITANAGAR, Oct 20: One more Covid-19 patient expired on Tuesday in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the death toll to 31.

As per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS),  a 23-year-old man expired at DCH, Chimpu on Tuesday morning at 0930 hours. He was admitted to the facility yesterday for pneumonia. He was suffering from late  stage carcinoma with metastases to the lungs along with severe anaemia.

State has also recorded 135 fresh cases of infections, taking the tally to 13778.

On the other hand, the recoveries tally rose to 11035 as 255 patients were discharged.

Of the new positive cases, 35 were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC),20 from Lower Dibang Vallley (LDV), 14 from East Siang and nine each from Upper Subansiri and West Siang.

Eight cases were also reported from Namsai, five from Papum Pare, four from Lower Subansiri, three from Pakke Kessang, two each from West Kameng, Tirap, Lohit and Siang, one each from East Kameng,Kurung Kumey,Changlang and Longding.

Barring 42, all the cases are asymptomatic.

Active cases in the state stands at 2712.
