NAHARLAGUN, Nov 23: Work hard to educate Arunachal Pradesh population on various central and state Govt developmental schemes, IPR Minister Bamang Felix exhorted officers of his department led by IPR director Obang Tayeng and printing director Charu Tajuk while reviewing various activities at Soochna Bhawan here on Monday.
On his second visit here, he informed that he has good knowledge and experience of the department for his long associations as parliamentary secretary and later as minister. There are lot of problems and issues of which he is fully aware, he said and assured to solve all key issues one by one.
While inspecting the photo archives, he was aghast to find state history in decaying photos and said such valuable photos have to be preserved and protected through digitization on priority.
Insisting that the officers should not only work hard but have innovative ideas, he assured to support any innovative scheme in next budget.
Reviewing the construction status of Satyajeet Ray Film and Television Institute, (SRFTI) with its director, Felix, the brainchild in bringing the institute to Arunachal after a protracted struggle with other NE states, said that no compromise will be accepted in its quality and infrastructure.
Felix, who was accompanied by IPR secretary NT Glow, asked the agencies to speed up the construction works. He said certain agreements were made with local land donors which need to be addressed with due respect to their culture and sentiment. He assured to visit the site and discuss the matter in details with the parties concerned.
IPR adviser Laisam Simai, accompanying the minister, termed the IPR as heart of all departments as their activities are linked to it. A miss beat of this heart could jeopardize state’s entire developmental process for which every stakeholders need to be very serious and work hard, he said.
He commended IPR officers for successfully taking up various activities for state development. He assured to extend all support and cooperation and keep his doors open always for every official. (DIPR)
