BOMDILA, Nov 23: West Kameng DC Karma Leki and ADC (HQs) Sang Khand as chief guest and guest of honour felicitates indigenous class-X and XII toppers of the district at Circuit house on Monday and gave one laptop with certificate to each.
The students were: Kalaktang GHSS class-X topper (84/%) Sonam Drema Namsa; Bomdila GHSS class-XII science topper (71.6%) Sunita Nimasow; Dirang KV class-XII huminities topper (92.8%) Leki Drema and Bomdila GHSS class-XII comerce Topper Tenzin Lhaton Namsa.
It was an initiative of All West Kameng Students’ Union education secretary Dorjee Tashi.
DC Leki congratulated all toppers and appreciated AWKSU for the event that would boost confidence of students by seeing excellent performance of girls in comparison to boys. The boys might be wasting time, he said and urged the AWKSU to cooperate with district administration during Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
Tashi advised them to work hard and excel in academic field to in laurels not only for them but for the family.
Dirang Idol winner Zima Lamu rented melodious bollywood number Aisa lag raha hai pyaar ho raha hai.
AWKSU president of Wangchen Norbu Sinchaji advised them to excel in studies and become worthy citizens to bring name for the state as well as the nation.
DDSE Daken Riba, DAEO PT Kharma and various students’ union leaders, students and toppers’ family members were present.
