Press fraternity mourns death of Taniyang Ningee

ITANAGAR, Dec 28: The state media fraternity deeply mourned the demise of Taniyang Ningee, elder brother of Tagu Ningee working in English daily ‘Echo of Arunachal’.

Late Taniyang, 51, and was immediately shifted to NIBA hospital, Naharlagun in a serious condition on Sunday after he suffered ‘pressure stroke’. He was referred to outside for treatment and breathed his last while on his way to Guwahati.

While extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, state media fraternity prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalist (APUWJ), Arunachal Press Club (APC) and Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Organization (AEDMA) members also paid homage to the deceased at Hollongi village home here on Monday.

Late Taniyang, serving as Rajiv Gandhi University section officer, is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter.

Late Taniyang had joined RGU (then Arunachal University)  as LDC in  1993, promoted to UDC in 1997 and as section officer in 2011. He was also associated with various social and cultural activities of the communities.
