Tedir advocates for more MSME projects for rural craftsmen

ITANAGAR, Feb 23: Education Minister Taba Tedir on Monday while attending a webinar has urged the Centre to provide more MSME projects to the state for sustainable sustainable development and self reliant of the rural craftsmen.

Speaking to this daily informed that several top officials of the MSME during the webinar attended including ministers and other stakeholders.

“A project has also been allotted to my assembly constituency Yachuli for handloom & traditional dress making cluster at Deed in Lower Subansiri district with a project cost of Rs 86.79 lakh on installment basis with share of KVIC wherein, 225 artisans has been given training,” he said.

All total 57 such clusters has been approved by the Centre wherein, several technical agencies has been empanelled for facilitating the cluster intervention, he said.

“I had requested union MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari and Minister of state for MSME P C Sarangi for approving more schemes for tribal development in the state which will make them self reliant,” the minister added.
