Kumar takes stock of various development projects

HOLLONGI, Feb 27: State Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar on Saturday visited various ongoing developmental projects in Hollongi areas under Balijan sub-division to monitor and take updates on progress of work.

He was accompanied by Secretary Disaster Management Dani Sulu, Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu, SP Capital Jimmy Chiram, Balijan ADC Tasso Gambo, HoDs of project executing departments like PWD, Power and admin officers.

He visited the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) headquarter at Hollongi and interacted with officers of 12Bn NDRF. He also visited the proposed State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) headquarter site near Hollongi where he was briefed about the master plan of SDRF headquarter by the officers of PWD.

The CS also took updates of progress of construction of new Greenfield Airport here, wherein representatives from construction agency briefed him about the progress of the much-hyped airport construction and other related matters.

Later he visited Organic Oasis Farm run by the Organic Farmers Association Arunachal and Van Vigyan Kendra at Chessa under Balijan.

The chief secretary later visited progressive entrepreneur Tana Nekam Tara’s Papum Pare Eco Agro farm at Sonajuli village located in Assam-Arunachal border foothills which is about 35Kms from Itanagar. (DIPRO)
