Galo cultural troupe leaves indelible mark on audience

ITANAGAR, Feb 28: The 15-member Galo cultural troupe of Lower Siang district, led by Nyayir Riba, left an indelible mark of rich cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh while performing at various venues at Guwahati during three-day Bharat Ko Jaano event which concluded on Sunday.

The three-day chain yatra programme organized North East Zone Cultural Centre in collaboration with cultural department of central government.

Besides local troupes, folk dance troupes were also invited from Nagaland, Punjab and Telengana, Riba told this daily over telephone from Guwahati, adding that the they were happy with the experiences as many audience approached them with questions on their traditional dresses and ornaments.

In fact, Bharat Ko Jaano facilitated people to know more about Arunachal Pradesh, its age-old cultural heritage, she added.
