ITANAGAR, Mar 07: Members of Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) on Sunday advised construction workers to get registered for availing benefits they miss out of due to lack of information and awareness.
The push for registration came at a one-day awareness camp conducted by APB&OCWWB in collaboration with All Arunachal Pradesh Labour Union (AAPLU), Sagalee Block at Sagalee.
The event was graced by Ex-ASM Chairperson of VII Sagalee Anchal Samiti Constituency, Techi Kaha as chief guest and AAPLU President Dana Tadu along with the members of APB&OCWWB.
Water filter and radio were distributed to the beneficiaries of Sagalee Block during the event.
Kaha asked the participants to work in coordination with other unions for the interest of workers of the entire state.
He also appealed to state the AAPLU president and members to cooperate with each other and also to conduct such awareness programmes in every area of the state.
Tadu advocated the district executive members to spread awareness among the people of Sagalee.
He also appealed to the APB&OCWWB to maintain the quality of supply materials being distributed among the beneficiaries.
Kaha said registered workers are more interested in the supply of materials instead of other benefits, like financial help for marriages and maternity.
He also said that a labourer or worker under departments, boards and contingency workers in any department are eligible for registration.
He appealed to the gathering to cooperate with the board for better results and smooth functioning of the office.
