ITANAGAR, July 21:All Kra Daadi District Students Union (AKDDSU), while welcoming the decision to shift district headquarter from Jamin to Palin on Wednesday, placed two demands to Chief Minister Pema Khandu and gave served 30-day time for a positive response.
Total funds for construction of new administrative infrastructure in Palin should be ‘one time’, completed within three years and future course of action of standing infrastructures of Jamin and their purposes be notified officially in gazette, AKDDSU president Pakyum Talop told media persons, adding that the decision to shift district headquarter is in greater public interest for which other development processes should not derail.
However, the state infrastructure development at Palin should be fast-tracked under the supervision of the chief minister’s office, he said, adding Jamin was declared as district headquarter six years ago and hundreds of crores have been spent for infrastructure development. But, surprisingly not a single office is functioning till date. Thus, the state Govt should also decide the future course of action on standing infrastructure of Jamin. The AKDDSU has submitted a memorandum to the CMO in this regard.
