ITANAGAR, Aug 05: Arunachal Pradesh state National People’s Party (NPP)’s president Mutchu Mithi, in a letter to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, has reinforced “commitment in the state, our five elected members of Legislative Assembly and Itanagar Municipality have placed in you and Dy CM Chowna Meinji their unfettered support”.
The NPP is part of National Democratic Alliance headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Centre and since I have recently taken over the responsibilities of state leadership of NPP, I thought it pertinent to inform you of the change, the letter said.
“The state Govt under your able leadership has a substantial unsurpassable majority of its own, nevertheless as it is with democratic principles, we would at times, convey our opinions/concerns on matters that are vital and crucial to state’s welfare, especially those have long term implications. I am sure you will appreciate this effort of ours. I also hope that my party would be consulted as and when you find it necessary.
“We look forward to work with you towards the welfare of our people under the aegis of Team Arunachal,” wrote Mithi, a lawmaker himself.
