Army gifts cakes, ration to school

WAKRO, Dec 31: Maj Gen Dheerendra Singh Kushwah, the General Officer Commanding an infantry division of the Army sent New Year cakes and ration items for rural school children. The students of the Kasturba Gandhi Balika School were overjoyed to receive the New Year gifts from the GOC, which were handed over by Maj Ransher Singh.

The teachers and staff of the school were equally delighted by the care of the Army. Maj Singh conveyed the best wishes on behalf of the GOC and the Army and encouraged the children to make the best use of the learning environment provided by the schools. He also assured the Army’s help for the peace, progress and prosperity of the people.

The school authorities thanked the GOC for the kindness and assistance and also thanked Col Harish, Col Pushpendra and Col Azad for the initiatives undertaken. The ASSET chairman thanked the Commander and his men of the infantry brigade that conducted the event.
