OFT service gives new hope to Delhi refugees

ITANAGAR, Mar 30: Continuing its service to humanity, women in particular, Om Foundation Trust (OFT) team led by its chairperson Sonia Arya conducted free health check-up camp of children, young girls and all women of Adarsh ​​Nagar refugee camp in Delhi on Wednesday.

Toeing “Sashakt Mahila Sashakt Bharat” campaign, essence of women empowerment, health, hygiene and good eating habits were highlighted by speakers, Ary told this daily over telephone.

Moreover, the campaign also stressed on importance of education, particularly girl child, to develop self-reliance and self-confidence for their survival.  Free sanitary pads were also distributed among young girls and women.

The camp lacks basic facilities, including power supply despite efforts, its n-charge Madho Singh said, adding that they have been making all possible for proper upbringing, particularly education of their children.  “We are inspired by consistent support of OFT to live in clean environment and ensure secured future of our children”, Singh added.
