ITANAGAR, May 14: The Itanagar center of National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), in association with Oju Mission School, conducted a day-long awareness level training program on cyber security & emerging technologies at the school premises on Saturday, under the project “Capacity Building in IECT including training in Digital Skill sets and Current Industry Demanding Technologies for various sections of society in the NE States.”
The training programme was funded by the union Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
The program was inaugurated by the Principal Sheema Domai Chamua and Jangphun Tangjang, Superintendent, in presence of NIELIT resource persons Anup Kumar, Shammi Sharma and Dipak Roy.
The training was attended by 70 students.
Under the project, NIELIT would impart training to 4000 school dropouts and students of school and colleges, 600 women, 400 farmers, 600 elderly persons, 1600 technical graduates and diploma holders, 360 engineering graduates and 400 teachers in the state for two years – 2022-2023 and 2023-24.
The NECB 2 project has been launched by the Union Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) and Entrepreneurship & Skill Development, on May 6 this year.
