Arunachal-Sikkim tourism exchange programme concludes

LUNGLA, May 23: The seven-day rural tourism exchange program between Arunachal and Sikkim, concluded at Zomkhang Hall here on Sunday.

The program was conducted with focus on capacity enhancement of Home stay owners of Lungla sub-division.

Resource persons from Chalamthang Tourism Development Committee Sikkim, also visited home stays at Tawang and interacted with the owners.

The closing ceremony was graced by Lungla ADC Tashi Dhondup, District Tourism Officer Tsering Deki, BJP Mandal President Sonam Topgay, EAC Jemeithang Hibu Dindie, Panchayat leaders of Lungla and registered home stay owners, reports DIPRO.

The program is in continuation of the workshop on home stay, birding and photography which was held in April this year. Both the programs have been conducted with the objective of putting Lungla in the tourism map and creating income generation avenues for the unemployed youths of the region, the report added.
