Ex-CM Tuki appointed NECCC chairman

ITANAGAR, Aug 07: The All India Congress Committee on Saturday appointed former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Nabam Tuki and MP Pradyut Bordoloi as chairman and convener of North East Congress Coordination Committee (NECCC) respectively.

Tuki, who had served as CM twice in 2011 and in 2016 when he resigned within three days of assuming office before a floor test, replaced former Meghalaya CM Dr Mukul Sangma.

While Tuki is Sagalee constituency MLA and present Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee president since 1st August, 2019, Bordoloi is Congress MP of Assam’s Nowgong constituency.
