ITANAGAR, Nov 23: The regional office of Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) here, under the union Information and Broadcasting ministry, is organizing a three-day photo exhibition on Ajadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) and 8 years of Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan at Don Bosco Youth Centre.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Capital DC Talo Potom on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Potom praised the initiative of CBC for organising the exhibition and said that the government is taking up various programme and policies for the development of the nation and people and such exhibitions can create awareness among the masses about these initiatives.
He appealed the participants to take full advantage of the programme to know about what the government is doing for them.
Earlier, CBC in charge Rakesh Doley briefed about the aims and objectives of the exhibition.
He said that the exhibition aimed at showcasing the eight years of achievements in every sector of the present central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Apart from this, the department has also set up a section in the exhibition stall displaying information of some of the unsung heroes of Arunachal Pradesh who had fought against the British rule.
Sunny Minj, Co-coordinator of Don Bosco Youth Centre and Pranjal Pratim Sharma, Principal of Eleazar School, were also present in the inaugural programme.
