Public grievances disposal mooted for Good Governance week

ITANAGAR, Dec 18: Chief Minister Pema Khandu Sunday greeted the people of the state for the success of the ‘Good Governance’ week to be observed from December 19 to 25 next.

The day also commemorates the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Key governance reforms were taken up in mission mode during the year to bring in both effectiveness and efficiency. These include 22 projects in the e-governance sector which will facilitate ease of living for the people during the weeklong celebration.

Many programmes are being organized at the state and district level during this week.

The deputy commissioners have also planned special campaigns for service delivery to the people at their doorsteps through Seva Aapke Dwar camps. The DCs will attend a virtual conference on “District as the Fulcrum of Development” to be held on December 20, an official communiqué informed here.

A special focus area of the government during the event would be disposal of public grievances, for which a state portal for public grievance redressal is expected to be launched soon. Trainings have been planned in the secretariat including on latest version of e-office and other crucial topics.

Arunachal Pradesh has been given a special recognition at the inaugural national level function at Delhi on December 19, with state chief secretary been invited to address the delegates to highlight the significant strides made by the state in recent years, the communiqué added. (DIPR)
