AdiSU organises rally demanding arrest of former APPSC Chairman

ITANAGAR, Jan 31: The Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU) on Tuesday organized a mass peaceful rally from Jawaharlal Nehru College to DC office at Pasighat in East Siang district, demanding immediate arrest of former Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Chairman Nipo Nabam within 15 days.

The union also threatened to initiate stir against the state government it its demands are not met within the time frame.

The AdiSU said that the paper leakage scam occurred under the former chairman and his associates, which need to be arrested and investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

Demanding the state government to endorse for Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe to assess the movable and immovable property of the chairman, secretary, controller of examination and other officials of APPSC, AdiSU said that all the member secretaries are involved in the scandal whose termination is much needed for a free and fair investigation.

The other demands of the union includes, appointment of vice chancellor at Arunachal University Pasighat at the earliest, immediate functionalization of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Pangin, Fast track investigation into the murder case of Tamik Taki, proper demarcation of school boundary in every Adi inhabited district and to rationalise posting of school teachers in every Adi inhabited districts.
