IAS officers visit Arunachal Pradesh assembly

ITANAGAR, Feb 27: A delegation of state civil service officers promoted to India Administrative Service (IAS), visited the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Monday, as part of their study tour (Bharat Darshan).

During the tour, the IAS officers were given a tour of main Assembly Hall, Museum, Library and other infrastructure in the complex and briefed about the functioning of Assembly and other activities taking place from time to time.

The officers also called on Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte at his office and interacted with him.

Pongte, while appreciating the officers for their visit to the state, expressed his hope that such exposure study tour would surely help them work better for the government and people in their respective posting places.

Advising them to carry out their duties sincerely and without fear for the best interest of the nation, the Deputy Speaker wished them for their future endeavours.

Meanwhile, the visiting officers lauded the state assembly which is one of the best in the country and also appreciated the officials for their help and cooperation during their visit.

Among others Assembly Secretary Kago Habung and P N Thongchi, Special Secretary to Speaker were present on the occasion.
