Competitive spirit key to success in life, DC tells Sainik School cadets

PASIGHAT, July 10: “Competition is about fighting own battle. None can be successful without fighting battles. If you win the everyday battle, you win the war. Thus, students should work hard to achieve great heights in life”, East Siang DC Tayi Taggu said in his address during a felicitation function of Niglok-based Sainik School students here on Tuesday.

While appreciating the students, especially those who have scored 97% in All India Secondary Board Examination-2023, Taggu as chief guest enlightened them about setting goals and time management while striking the right balance between hard work and smart work.

Students could achieve success only when they work hard with smartness, which are key to shine in any exam, he said and urged the toppers to remain true to the school motto ‘Education, Character and Nationalism’ and wished them success in future.

Terming the teachers as the nation builders, he said that students could bring good results if the teachers perform their duties with utmost dedication, sincerity, punctuality and discipline. The teachers could play a pivotal role in motivating students in cleanliness, health care, personality development and hygienic living too, he said and appreciated principal Praveen Kr Pola for his vision and tireless efforts to bring visible development in his short tenure.

The DC also felicitated with mementos class-X toppers, namely cadets Zingbai Tali (district topper), Hage Abing, Aditya Raj and Sanghe Khandu, besides East Zone Football Tournament (held in Punglwa, Nagaland) cadets Ato Tai Pordung (sub-junior, intra group ‘E’) and Phutong Wangsu (junior, intra group ‘E’)

Pola, in his address earlier, said: “We have come a long way, but yet to travel a long way to make SSES pride of Arunachal Pradesh”. He briefed various academic aspects and NDA motivational hall, set up for preparing class-XI with a focus on NDA, JEE (for Naval academy) and NEET (for AFMC). He acknowledged the efforts of management, staff and parents to secure excellent results and urged the students to build new skills, stay morally upright and absorb the good values from people all around.
