33% women reservation bill moved in Lok Sabha welcomed

ITANAGAR, Sept 19:  Arunachal Pradesh BJP welcomed women reservation bills (Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam), which was tabled in Lok Sabha on Tuesday after a cabinet nod.

The bill seeking 33% seat reservation for SC/ST women in Lok Sabha and state assembly is a historic step undertaken by Narendra Modi-led BJP Govt to empower the women in law making and running the administration, spokesperson Dominc Tadar.

State BJP Mahila Morcha led by president Kohman K Ngemu and vice president Yelam Taga Burang celebrated the occasion at BJP HQ here, according to a BJP release.
