BJP Amrit Kalash team leaves for New Delhi

ITANAGAR, Oct 29: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized Meri Mati, Mera Desh programme in its HQs here on Saturday to send delegates with Amrit Kalash collected from every mandals of Arunachal Pradesh to New Delhi.

WRD an S&T Minister Honchun Ngandam as a special guest said the ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’, which carries essence of our villages, signifies the strength derived from the unity, integrity and patriotism to connect India. He lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for such initiative which other political parties never conceived.

Terming the campaign a proud moment for state people to connect with rest of India to honour heroes that would showcase sense of national pride and inspire GenNext to protect India’s cherished heritage

BJP president-cum-MLA Biyuram Wahge said that it is not merely activities but collective homage paid to heroes who sacrificed their lives to protect the nation. He urged all party workers to work with dedication to ensure name and fame for the state on priority.

General secretary-cum-event convener Nalong Mize highlighted phase-wise activities of “Meri Mati, Mera Desh” since September 1 last  and said that a new garden – Amrit Vatika – will be developed in Delhi near the National War Memorial to pay tributes to those who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Biyuram Ngandam and Wahge later flagged off Amrit Kalash delegates New Delhi in presence of host of BJP MLAs and leaders, including general secretary (organization) Ananta Narayan Mishra, media co-convener Nima Sange said in a release.
