VBSY flagged off | Replace traditional ploughing system by Dec 2024: DyCM


CHONGHKAM, Dec 03: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein flagged off Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) and inaugurated Seva Aap Ke Dwar 2.0 at Pali Vidyapeeth here in Namsai district on Sunday.

The VBSY is a noble initiative, aimed at achieving 100% saturation of flagship Govt programmes, seeks to combine awareness, recognition and direct provision of essential services to contribute to holistic development of the region.

Expressing his satisfaction, Mein said that it has seamlessly aligned with Viksit Bharat Yatra,   creating a robust framework for dissemination of Govt schemes and benefits. He underscored the significance of empowering rural women in agricultural sector through SHGs, training in modern farming methods and use of technology, like tractors for ploughing. The traditional ploughing system should be replaced with farm machineries in the district by December 2024, he said.

Highlighting PM Modi’s vision of ‘Vikas’, Mein commended Govt officials for their commitment to trust and corruption-free practices. Reflecting optimism about India’s trajectory to become third-largest economy, he urged officials to ensure the benefits reach the remotest villages.

As the VBSY begins its journey, the commitment of the GoAP for inclusive development and welfare for all remains unwavering.

Mein visited exhibition stalls of various departments, showcasing the GoAP’s dedication to recognize and rewarding individuals under schemes, like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Atmanirbhar Bawani Yojna, PMAWAS Yojana etc. He on behalf of ArSLM disbursed fund to SHGs and felicitated progressive farmers, anganwadi workers & SHGs to acknowledge their contributions to the community. Ujjawal connections and tractors (ANKY/Anby), certificate of saturation for Jal Jeevan Mission) and declaration of Open Defecation Free Plus village/gram panchayats issued by Union Ministry of Water Supply were distributed followed by drone demonstrations.

The camp included health camps and registration kiosks for schemes, like PMJAY, PM Viswakarma, PMJJBY, PMSBY, PM Bharat volunteers and PM Ujjwala. Mein also released informative leaflets prepared by Momong KVK for the VBSY.

Mein, dignitaries and people present took the ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat’ pledge, which constitutes making India developed and self-reliant by 2047; removing any trace of colonial mindset; celebrating our heritage; strengthening unity and respecting those who protect the nation; and performing the duties of a citizen.
