ITANAGAR, Dec 05: Capital ADC Shweta Nagarkoti, while chairing a meeting here on Tuesday, discussed various illegal activities, like earth cutting, illegal sell of IMFL, drug menace, wine shops, bars running beyond permitted time, shops running without license, gambling, ILP checking and steps to control them.
She directed DMO Dr Mandip Perme to ensure regular checking drives of shops under COTPA, especially those situated near educational institution and also direct the flying squad team to prepare a time table for strict checking by coordinating with OCs of all Capital police stations, who were present, and assured all possible help.
She asked the police to remain alert for regular checking drives and ensure that wines shops and bars adhere to timing set by the district administration.
Itanagar police have been conducting regular checking and night patrolling, PS OC K Yangfo said and assured to intensify checking drives.
Pointing out that it may not possible to stop such activities at once; she advocated coordination with each other to work out modalities to contain activities to make Itanagar a safe and secure place for people to live happily. (DIPRO)
