Anomalies alleged in PDS, CM’s intervene sought

PASIGHAT, Feb 11: Total 51 ration card holders of Padu village under Mariyang sub-division in Upper Siang district, while talking to media persons, have alleged huge anomalies in rice distribution to 51 families in the village in total violation of norms to select beneficiaries of BPL ration cards.

They also alleged that their rice shares were distributed to 89 new ration card holders who are not registered in Govt portal as yet. Upper Padu GPC chairperson Sor Perme Tayeng, who represented them, demanded stringent action against all erring officers for depriving bonafide ration card holders.

The 51 including GPM Ojing Paron Perme, Mum Yirang, Asot Ngupok Tayeng, Ex-GPC Tonak Tayeng, ex-GPM Katon Tayeng, Ex-GPM Eding Perme and Padu village FPS licensee Gumin Tayeng have been deprived of their ration for  October, November, December 2023 and January 2024 though their cards issued in second week of January 2024 are valid upto June 2024 and listed in  NFSA portal.
