NAHARLAGUN, Mar 29: Naharlagun Police, as part of its ongoing Operation Dawn, conducted a operation against drug trafficking here on Friday and arrested three drug peddlers identified as Joram Tadir, 32; Takar Pakba, 19 and lady Bomnu Jilen, 19.
Naharlagun police station team led OC inspector K Dev conducted the successful operation under the supervision of SP Mihin Gambo and SDPO Paul Jerang.
The team besides apprehending the drug peddlers also recovered two polythene pouches containing suspected contraband drugs (heroin) weighing approximately 24.2 grams and Rs 9,250 cash from their possession. The seizure was conducted in presence of executive magistrate Khoda Bath and accordingly a case was registered with local PS under appropriate sections of NDPS Act, according to an official release.
