Congress manifesto promises | Jobs to unemployed youth, hike yearly FMA from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh

ITANAGAR, Apr 11: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) released its manifesto for up ensuing simultaneous assembly and parliamentary elections by assuring jobs to unemployed youth, if it forms Govt in the Centre as well as in the state.

APCC spokesperson Kon Jirjo, while releasing the manifesto at Arunachal Press Club here on Thursday, said that Congress would be giving Rs. one lakh annually to each uneducated youth and each woman belonging to poor family.

Ensuring to empanel every metro city’s hospital under Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY), Jirjo said that the party has planned to increase family medical allowance (FMA) existing from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh once in power to ease financial burden of poor patients,.

“I appeal to every unemployed youth of the state to fill up the form that has been included in the manifesto for jobs guarantee,” Jirjo said.

Moreover, Rs 400 would be given to unemployed youth per day under National Minimum Wage, including Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2025 (MGNREGA), he announced.

The party manifesto also included counting every individual and every community in a nationwide census to ensure social and economic equality, youth’s startup fund of Rs. 5,000 crore, women’s legal support to get their legal rights, legal guarantee for ST/SC sub-plan across the country, freedom from the departmental hassle, direct crop insurance transform, life insurance and accident insurance for unorganized workers, among others.
