VC: Make APU atmosphere conducive for research works  

PASIGHAT, Apr 25: Commerce department of Arunachal Pradesh University (APU) organized a seminar, themed ‘Issues and challenges of business organisation in contemporary period’ here on Thursday.

Appreciating the presenters of various papers, vice chancellor Prof. Tomo Riba advised the teaching faculties to make a conducive atmosphere for the research work in the University. He also told students to be interested in businesses rather than solely focus on government jobs.

Registrar Narmi Darang highlighted importance of departmental seminars which could motivate students to become good researchers and teaching professionals.

Assistant Prof (Economics) Dr. Tagam Dabi, as resource person, highlighted challenges in global context, like Covid-19 pandemic, war, accelerating digital transformation, data privacy, cyber security and sustainability.

He referred to various challenges in India, like compact regulation in obtaining licenses and permits, bureaucratic red-tapism, filing and paying tax, cross borders trading, inconsistent power supply,, lack of transparency in the legal system and favourable Govt policies.

Highlighting objectives of the seminar, its coordinator Dr. Yab Rajiv Camder, expressed his faith that this seminar would not only encourage but also boost  research ability, improve  knowledge and understanding of students on issues and challenges of business organisation in contemporary period.

Tribal studies HoD i/c Dr. Tarh Ramya, social work HoD i/c associate professor  Menuka Kadu, faculty members and students were present, according to an APU release.
