Gumkum Gumpa Fest celebrated | Arunachal a model of unity in diversity: DC

ITANAGAR, Apr 26: The five-day 3rd celebration of Gumkum Gumpa Festival of Puriok community with pomp and gaiety concluded at Kra Daadi district HQs Palin on Friday.

DC Sunny K Singh and member of central festival celebration committee (CFCC), speaking as chief guest, lauded indigenous people of the state for preserving and protecting their rich tradition and culture,

Terming with each tribe having unique tradition and culture, Singh exhorted Arunachal Pradesh as a model of unity in diversity the younger Puroik generations to to maintain the legacy for posterity..

CFCC chairman Siji Punung, in his address earlier, said that the festival has no rituals and celebrated as a  platform to bring all community members living across the state together

The festival was celebrated jointly by Puroik community of East Kameng, Kurung Kumey and Kra-Daadi districts, (DIPRO)
