ITANAGAR, Apr 26: As Yupia district & session court rescheduled hearing of bail plea of the person, accused in suicide case of Techi Neme Tok to April 29, her family members vowed to intensify protest against bail.

The bail hearing relating her death was fixed on April 24 last, but the defendant lawyers could not make on the scheduled date and time, for which the court differed the hearing date, deceased family advocate Taba Topu informed.

Accused Dimin Techi, as per court diary, is not co-operating with the investigating team. Thus, the court has asked associate advocate of counsel defendant to submit mobile phone of allegedly accused Techi Dimin to the police to re-investigate the case, he said.

The court has also directed the lawyer appointed to advise and represent in legal matters of Dimin Techi to present on the said date and time, failing to attend the hearing may lead to rejection of the client’s bail petition, Taba said,.

Meantime, family members of late Neme have urged  the judges to complete the hearing process by Monday and to issue an arrest warrant against Dimin.

“One month has passed after filing of FIR, but why Dimin is roaming freely,” questioned sister Techi Nane, adding “counsel lawyers should make arguments in the court if their client (Dimin) is innocent”,

Expressing anguish over postponement hearing of bail plea filed by Dimin Techi time and again, the family members said that a lawyer engaged in the trial of case should be present in the court on Monday or else it would create a chaotic situation.

“Without justice there can be no peace”, they said and demand capital punishment for the allegedly accused Dimin.

The court earlier had rejected the bail petition of Tok Tama accused in abetting the suicide case, who is police custody now.

Late Neme’s body was found in Lekhi on March 21, which the family members had termed as murder.
