Guv, CM mourn demise of Lokayukta Chairman

ITANAGAR, Apr 28:  Governor Lt. General (Retd) K T Parnaik has mourned sudden demise of Arunachal Pradesh Lokayukta Chairman justice (Retd) Prasanta Kumar Saikia, former Gauhati High Court judge.

He said that In his sudden passing away, the state has lost a conscientious ombudsman and a crusader against corruption, said the governor, who on behalf of state  people  conveyed sincere and heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace. AONS adds: Justice Saikia died on Saturday in New Delhi, where he was undergoing treatment, sources said. He was 70.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to the micro-blogging site X to mourn his untimely demise of State Lokayukta Chairperson.
