NEET-UG 2024 examination | Accusing NTA of incompetent, ABVP seeks CBI investigation

ITANAGAR, June 10: Claiming incompetence and corrupt practices of National Testing Agency (NTA) in conducting under graduate examinations of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-2024, members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) led by Arunachal unit secretary Tatlom Tayeng staged protest at Indira Gandhi Park here on Monday.

They demanded immediate CBI probe into the examination process and results to take action against those found guilty and accused the NTA of ulterior intention for announcing NEET-UG results on the day of announcement of Lok Sabha election results.

Pointing out that a CBI probe alone would unravel the irregularities in conducting the test as reported from different parts of the country on the very day of the examination and question solvers were caught at different places.

Moreover, there were irregularities in distribution of question papers and seat arraignments at some places due to lack of preparations for which the ABVP justifies demands of the NEET candidates, they said, adding the situation has created distrust among students about transparency in conducting the examination for admission to medical colleges.

“We strongly believe that the bureaucracy concerned involved in conduct of examinations is responsible for the shortcomings,” they added.
