Anganwadi workers trained under SAC

NAMSAI, July 09: Two-day capacity building training of  118 anganwadi workers of Namsai block to saturate health and nutrition KPIs  concluded here on Tuesday as part of Sampoornata Abhiyan Campaign (SAC).

One Trideep Dole verified number of pregnant women using data of medical, ASHA and AWW to ensure accurate update of data in poshan tracker.

The training programme was attended by CDPOs, officials from ICDS department, Supervisors, Gram Sevika, ICDS Mentors, Anganwadi Workers & Piramal Foundation Team of Namsai.

The discussion covered data discrepancies of poshan tracker to ensure accuracy, take home ration, community-based events, Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Day), measurement efficiency, hot-cooked meals, home visits, immunization, pregnancy and delivery, pre-school education, supplementary food distribution. record-keeping mechanism and documentation on various parameters.

The current key performance indicators on nutrition for pregnant women receiving supplementary nutrition under integrated child development services were reviewed, and a roadmap was prepared to achieve 100% by September next.

Training on new criminal laws

A training was conducted by JMFC Mary Jonnam on three new criminal laws, namely Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023, for executive magistrates and administration officers here on Tuesday.

These laws aim for timely and speedy justice, greater accountability, transparency and a victim-centric approach, she said, while explaining concept of zero-FIR and e-FIR, along with other changes introduced in the new laws. (DIPRO)
