Adopt new tech to boost agri production: Wangki

NAMASAI | Apr 09 | Agriculture is most important with about 80% of state population depending upon this sector to earn their livelihood, Agriculture Minister Wangki Lowang today said and called upon the farmers to adopt  modern  methods to boost agriculture  production.

The farmers should go for multiple cropping with  advanced technology, he said in his address to  37th BJP foundation day and birth anniversary celebration of Dr.BR Ambedkar here.

Hilly terrain poses challenges in using technology, like harvesting machine or large agricultural equipments but many central schemes, launched by PM Naredra Modi have been implemented while few are under processes to be implemented soon to benefit the farmer, he disclosed and added that the GoAP has taken steps to make the state organic to immensely benefit the farmers with their products getting wider markets. Stand united and work in unison to strengthen the party, he advised the BJP workers.

Highlighting the history of BJP, Planning Parliamentary Secretary Zingnu Namchoom, said that workers are important than party and urged them to disseminate information on all GoI flagship programmes  at grassroots level.

He termed 2017-18 Budget of CM Pema Khandu-led Govt touching all sectors as ‘people’s budget.

Bharatiya Janata Kisan Morcha president Dunggoli Libang and GS Sange Tsering Thungon also addressed the function, organized by the BJKM.
