MLA seeks storm relief from CM

ITANAGAR |  May 30 | Seppa East lawmaker Tapuk Taku has taken up with Chief Minister Pema Khandu about the damaging impacts caused by powerful storm that slashed East Kameng district HQs Seppa  around 2 PM on May 28 afternoon.

Taku had visited district hospital there on Tuesday and had consoled seven victims, including three women injured by the storm and inquired about the well being from medical superintendent, who had described their injuries as minor only.

The injured included Doniram Wange, Soni Singhi, Kaka Cheda, & Retpe Liyak (all males), Mekam Bachha, Jeopri Rimo and Mepar Tallang (all females), Taku told this daily here today, adding that he had called upon the people to remain alert as such storms cannot be ruled out  because of approaching monsoon.

Deputy commissioner Rajeev Taku, on his instruction has began assessment of damages caused to be submitted to the state Govt soon for providing relief.
