Students from state wins medals at 3rd Intl Open Karate C’ship- 2017

 

ITANAGAR | Aug 01 | Seven students from HIM International school, Itanagar has done the state proud by winning gold, silver and bronze medals in various categories at the 3rd International Open Karate Championship- 2017 organised by All India Seishinkai Shito-Ryu Karate- Do federation at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Kolkata that started from  July 29-30.

Students participated in Kata and Kumite events. Tadu Riibing and NyokumTechi won gold, Gichik Tyson won silver, Kara Somin, DopumYangfo , Lee Natung and Ha Tim won Bronze medals in the KATA event.

Students from all over India and from other countries like Malaysia, Iran, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka also participated in the tournament.

Chief Patron Katung Wahge, chairperson Nannu Wahge and principal advisor Amitabh Mohan congratulated the students for their extra ordinary performance.

School Principal Rajendra Singh Parihar and Academic Head Satish Dubey also congratulated the students for their enthusiasm.

They appreciated Raja Khanna (Sports Faculty and Coach) for training the students for the competition within a short period of time.
