KHONSA | Aug 07 | Tirap District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) today organised an awareness campaign at Don Bosco School at Kheti village near here, themed ‘Tobacco – a threat to development’, under National Tobbaco Control Program (NTCP).
More than 200 students along with faculty members took part in the event, organized under the supervision of DPO Dr P Rakshit.
DTCC consultant Nijali Tacho highlighted law enforcement rules which is to be followed and sought for unfied fight to minimise tobacco consumption.
Social work mobiliser Tai Bhai presented PPT on ‘ill effects of tobacco use on health and society’, while psychologist Kenyum Nabam urged everyone to come and avail the facility.
Don Bosco school principal Father Jose lauded all participants and resource persons for their efforts and the event concluded with anti-tobacco pledge by all participants.
