LMCAD raids, books cases

NAHARLAGUN | Aug 07 | A team of legal metrology and consumer affairs department (LMCAD)  headed by its inspector Debia Tana along with police personnel today booked several cases under Legal Metrology Act 2009 against various shops and a petrol pump here.

The cases were booked for selling books higher than MRPs, bakery items without mandatory declaration, using unverified weighing machine and non production of documents.  One petrol pump was found dispensing short delivery of petroleum product at Naharlagun, Debia said.
