ITANAGAR | Sept 22 | Tourism secretary Joram Beda along with Capital DC Prince Dhawan and other officials visited Ganga Lake today to take stock of the situation and discussed necessary steps required for its beautification.
Beda opined that beautiful log houses depicting local tribal culture could be built which would not only add to the beauty but also promote state culture. He asked the DC, Ganga Lake Development Committee chairman, to dismantle some of the dilapidated condition toilets there. He suggested to buy modern boats with proper technology for boating, ensure proper operation management plan for using the swimming pools, stressed on proper maintenance of Ganga Lake at any cost, being a heritage site.
The DC stressed on funds to renovate the lake area and assured improvement soon.
TIO-cum-GLDC member-secretary Dalin Tana suggested few modifications in the lake to which Beda assured to consider. (DIPRO)
