Capital DC office awarded for implementing e-office  

ITANAGAR | Feb 28 | Capital Complex DC office in inking a record to implement e-office to go paperless was awarded gold medal as best district.

The award was presented during 21st national conference on e-Governance at Hyderabad International Convention Center while DC Prince Dhawan, EAC Liken Koyu, DIO Tarni Kumar, NIC scientist-B Sanjiv Kumar Das, programmer Deepak Bhardwaj and UDC Rubu Rajen received the award.

The E-office provides an effective mechanism to monitor on finger tips performance of individuals, pendency of files, clearance of files, files worked on, etc, not available earlier.

Prior to the adoption of e-office, Reports submitted by departments and sections could not be cross-verified earlier. The digital monitoring mechanism of e-office has increased accountability and responsibility of staff at all levels and brought about a positive change in the administrative system.

Moreover, it also brought various benefits to the office including quick disposal of files, instant file exchange, knowledge repository, simplification and standardization of Govt processes and procedures, elimination of unproductive/ non-value-adding work, and reduction in paperwork has been other advantage of e-office. (PRO)
