Festival bind all with love: Karbak

Mopin golden jubilee celebrated

AALO | Apr 12| “Festival is not only a rare occasion to showcase our rich culture but a platform to bind all strata of people with love, oneness, mutual trust, goodwill and sense of belongings,” Sports and Youth Affairs Parliamentary Secretary Nyamar Karbak has said.

Addressing concluding function of Mopin celebration with traditional pomp and gaiety during April 4 to 10 to mark golden jubilee of the festival as chief guest speaking, said that festivity with true sense of participation has been hallmark of celebration since time immemorial. He urged to preserve its rich values associated for posterity before distributing 400 Ujala bulbs and enlisting series of developmental works for the circle.

DIPRO Gijum Tali was guest of honour, Yomcha ZPM Yiyom Yomcha and ADC Sode Potom as special guests stressed on preservation of culture followed by address of LBGJCC organising chairman Somar Potom, president Nyakar Raksap, secretary Dr. Tumpe Boje, chief coordinator Dr. Soyum Potom also spoke.

Lodu anthem composed by PWD AE Balom Bogo, Lodu genealogy initiated by Bomnyi Raksap and a souvenir were released on the occasion.  The tiny Darak circle buzzed with festive fervor during week-long festivity with literary, sports, traditional song, dances and folklores competitions injecting new life.
