RKM offers relief to 145 fire victims


AALO | May 30 | Rama Krishna Mission reflecting its humanitarian gesture distributed relief materials to 145 victims of New Market fire incident here.

It may be recalled that 41 houses were gutted in a devastating fire on 16 May last.

The materials included blankets, 41 utensils sets each comprising kharahi, pot, kettle, bucket, hata, jug, glass and mug, tea pan, 4 plate-bowl pairs, shirts, jackets & pants.

Swami Ishananda, Ravishankar, Manohar & Sivatejashwi maharajs and staff handed over the relief.

ILP checking intensified

Meanwhile, 137 people without ILPs were rounded up by a team led by magistrates Liyi Bagra, Henkir Lollen, Lijum Ete and Jumkar Karbi while the police personnel were headed by local PS OC Minli Geyi in an intensified effort to check ILP violators in various sectors and work sites of the town.

Of the 98 people without ILP, 39 were released on production of ILP by their relatives when produced in judicial magistrate court. (DIPRO)
